Exploring Student and Training Opportunities

At our university, medical students have the incredible opportunity to collaborate with renowned faculty members. These mentors guide students in their research projects, which can range from summer projects to year-long endeavors. Although research is not mandatory, an impressive 95% of our medical students, most of whom are preparing for careers in clinical practice, choose to complete a research project as part of their MD program.
Aside from research opportunities available to medical students, AUA also offers the Medical Scientist Training Program (MD/PhD) and eleven PhD programs in biology and biomedical sciences.
